Reconciliation post

As part of our commitment to community Borderlands sometimes works alongside other groups for those causes in which we believe.  Working with Boroondara Reconciliation Group we recently challenged the City of Boroondara’s decision to make the Acknowledgement of Country in their Code of Conduct an optional choice at the discretion of individual councilors.  As Council also failed to renew their Reconciliation Action Plan this becomes even more of a concern.

Our petition with over 600 signatures was recently delivered to Council and spirited discussion was engaged at a public meeting.

We have attached the relevant documents below as a means of sharing with those who supported this action and also to provide information to anyone interested.
